I was recently using my laptop and a message began to pop up saying short of vertual memory. I decided to switch the machine off and reboot it, however when I try to boot up the machine it reaches a certain point and then turns itself off.
Is it because it is very low on vertual memory or is something else wrong with it. Any ideas Please ????
Many thanks in advance

What stage in the startup does it reach when the computer restarts? Also, can you start it up in Safe Mode? If you can, then it may be something to do with the memory, although it can be a number of things.

Enter set up and don't allow it to boot from hard drive. Leave it on in setup and see if she shuts down.
The pro 6000 and 6100 have a common problem with the power board to motherboard plug. Plugging and unplugging the battery eventually works the plug loose on the motherboard and it has to be re-flowed.
Just food for thought.
