    Hi, Trying to sort out the above for a friend. There are two apparent problems, firstly, as soon as the machine posts, the DVD drive flips open, then as soon as the Windows password page appears, the machine reboots.

    If you close the DVD drive as soon as it opens, it will not manually open, you have to wait for the reboot.

    I have stripped the machine down, and reseated everything that is removeable. I have also reset the BIOS to default.

    Any help would be much appreciated.
