    Hello,

My Satellite Pro A110 freezes while transferring large amount of data through LAN. The LAN driver is a Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC. I have meet other colleagues with exactly the same problem, we have tried with many drivers, BIOS update with no success.
The freeze simply means: everything is frozen, you can't do a thing except pressing the power button to shut down and restart the laptop. The problem does not always occur. There is no pattern, the only thing I know is that it is probably due to heavy network traffic. Though sometimes that will be fine for hours, until suddenly the laptop freezes in the midst of intensive network traffic.

please give us some help with this very frustrating problem

Is the data moving between two computers on the same network? If so I would try a third party file transfer program first. Teracopy has worked great for me.

    TeraCopy download link: http://www.codesector.com/files/teracopy.exe

It will set itself as the default file transfer manager replacing the built-in Windows component. (If you don't like it you can uninstall it just as any other program, the Windows transfer utility will then, again, be the default.)

Sometimes Windows gets confused ;). Give it a shot.
