I've had a Toshiba Satellite Pro S5100-501 for several years. Up until now I've always connected it to my home router using a wired connection. But I've recently bought a network storage drive which means that my router has now run out of wired sockets.

Fortunately the router has a wireless capability and I'm pretty sure I've used my laptop wirelessly in the past.

This morning I ran the Windows Setup Wizard for wireless networking but I couldn't get my router and laptop to see each other. In fact, if I just go into Device Manager (on the laptop) there's no wireless hardware listed. I'm now wondering if I might have disabled it in the BIOS at some point.

How can I re-enable the wireless hardware for my laptop?

Hmmm.... thinking back, I seem to remember having to fit a PCMCIA card to get the wireless capability (i.e. it wasn't built into the laptop).

The only problem now is to remember where I put it.... :(
