I'm working on this system for an acquaintance. It currently has a Core Duo T2300E in it. I've upgraded the BIOS to rev. 3.70, and noted in Toshiba's documentation that later releases have T5300 processor support.

Has anyone upgraded this model of system? I'm assuming it's a Socket-M system, but I'd like to get confirmation of that as well as processors that are compatible before I buy one, and before I disassemble things. I'm hoping to drop in a Core 2 T7200, which should improve things considerably.

Did you ever find out the answer? I want to upgrade my girlfriends U205 and I'm in the same boat, don't want to buy anything before I know for sure.
