    Hello!

    I have a Satellite X205-S9810 with a non-working numpad.

    The story goes like this:

I've managed to fry the video card and apparently the motherboard with an S-video cable. I backed up my OS, installed a fresh copy of Vista without graphic drivers then I've taken it to the Service where they changed the video card and motherboard. A friend of mine received it without much testing as i was not in the country, in the meantime the warranty expired.

My friend asked me and installed a copy of Windows 7 which was working ok, but when i got home i discovered that the numpad was not working and pressing the numlock button didn't do anything. The light was off.
I've restored the system to my old Vista anyway, and the numlock light turned on, but the numpad was still not working. I've also updated the BIOS.
I've removed the keyboard, reattached the ribbon, still not working. Neither the numbers nor the functions or arrows. Stand-alone function keys above the numpad work perfectly.

    Does anybody have any advice?

    Thank you!
