I have been having severe audio issues with this laptop for a while now. ALL audio plays choppy and is often slowed-down with considerable digital noise and interference. this occurs whether i'm using the onboard speakers, external speakers, or headphones. the sound device is realtek high definition audio (additionally, in device manager the drivers are listed as legacy audio drivers). i've tried to download the latest drivers from realtek, as well as the latest codecs. i've also tried uninstalling and having windows reinstall it upon restarting but to no avail. any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thank you.
