    Hi all,

My Toshiba Satellite a200-14d randomly sounds a loud beep ... once almost every week or every 2 weeks. For the past three days though, it occurred again once every day.

It happens while I work and even when it's idle.

It appears to come from the right side of the notebook(where the DVD-ROM is located)
I don't know what causes is and can't figure it out.

The notebook is running on Windows XP SP2. It came with Vista preinstalled when I bought it (3 months ago).

    Any opinions?

    Kind regards,
    Theodor

I have a A200-06V(see sig) and I get like a 2 random beeps too, something like buuu-beeeep or deeeeeeeeeeet and lasts about 1.5 seconds.
Happened twice in 6 days(only had laptop for 7 days now).

I have Vista Premium and the sound does not come from the speakers, and I didn;t have a disk in the dvd-rom at the time.

My A210, that I've had nearly a week, done that once while scanning for viruses. It sounded like the beeping you get when the battery is almost flat, and the laptop's threatening to shut down. It hasn't done it since, and has been perfect otherwise.

I have also checked the eventvwr, but nothing is recorded at the moment the beep occurred.
It's starting to drive me crazy. :)
