I have a p100 MA5 that i bought in november from future shop. Recently the speakers have been acting up, i can be listening to music and the speakers will completely cut off. No buzz no click just shut off.

I was able to get them working again by restarting the computer. I tried to plug in external speakers and there is no sound from those either out of the headphone jack.

Today i've restarted 3 times and the speakers still don't work. Anyone know of this issue ?? Should i take it in to be serviced ?? All i can see is a big service bill cause of "not covered by warranty"

    Any ideas ?? Thanks

Have you tried updating the sound drivers?

The only updated driver for the conexant audio driver from toshiba is for using windows vista.

Should i re install the driver from my recovery disc ?? I do have a free upgrade disc to Vista. I've held off installing because i've heard bad things.

You should try going to the manufacturer, which I think is Realtek.
