    Hello,

I've owned my Toshiba laptop for less than a month and just noticed a whole host of scratches on the plastic blue onyx cover, noticeable when you put it up to the light. Some are worse than others but there are lots of them across the cover. I am a bit puzzled because I can't think of anything that would have caused this other than normal wear and tear. Are these laptops scratch prone? Is it really that easy to scratch the cover?

    Thanks,
    Randall

i have a a100 for about 5 months, no scratches yet on lid, but then again i dont move it around that much. once i slid my laptop into my backpack with the hard side of the velcro scraping on the lid, but luckily no scatches. maybe a205 are not made of the same material

I just looked into Toshiba's extended warranty plan and even the accidental repair excludes cosmetic scratches and dents, which means it must be very, very, common, otherwise they would cover it.

Glad you had better success with your cover... too bad I'm OCD! Oh well, I guess I need some good exposure therapy.
