Hi hopefully someone can help me because im baffled!! I have changed the screen on a Toshiba C660 and there is no picture when turned on. However if I pull the power adapter out the the battery is out already so power is cut immediately then the picture flashes up briefly on the screen. I have tried different screens and power adapters all with the same result. Any ideas please. I would be very grateful

Verify that all cables are properly connected [to screen and to the motherboard].
It's worth a shot, but make sure the LCD screen is set to "on". I believe you can use the "Fn" key and I believe the F5 key.
However, you can look here for your exact model support page: Satellite Support | Toshiba
There may be a user guide that will state the exact "Fn" combo to turn on the display.

    Hopefully others can chime in.
    Good luck

Thanks for the response. I have checked all cables and verified the the screen is the default option in the bios using a external monitor. When I power it on the screen will change very slightly so power is getting to it but will not show a picture until power cord is pulled out. Same thing happens on battery. I have completely disassembled the whole laptop and reassembled with the same result :(

Can you please confirm if it's just no backlight or no display at all? This laptop has an LED backlight screen.
