i have a toshiba A70 without the nice glossy screen (trubrite?) and was wondering if it is possible to swap the LCD screen with one that has trubrite. i dont think it is something that i can do myself, but is there a way?

    Brian,

It's possible to switch, but you have to go out an buy a brand new LCD for the unit. It's not a cheap item to get, even if you buy it on eBay. An LCD is one of the most expensive items that you can buy for a notebook, right next to a systemboard. Even if you were lucky enough to get the LCD cheap, there's no guarantee that the pin layout for the video cable and power cables will be compatible, even though it's for the same model type. Personally, I wouldn't bother.
