    Hi,

Let me lead off by saying that I know almost nothing about computers and that all help would greatly be appreciated.

The Computer is a Toshiba 2435-S255

My laptop screen started going black quite frequently while the computer is on. It doesn't black out 100% because I can still very barely make out the contents of the computer if I squint just right. If i plug in an external monitor it works just fine.

I have had this problem before and it was resolved by turning it into a computer store. The guy was pretty vague, but basically said that wires were loose or something of that nature. I feel like I could fix this on my own if someone could point me in the right direction. I have already tried to see if any wire where loose on the screen itself using this write-up http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba2435/sat2435_LCD.htm . Last time my problem could be resolved by putting light pressure on one side of the laptop, or propping it up to put pressure on that side. I had where I had zip ties twisting the lap top screen so that the screen would stay lit. Is there something loose inside that I can tighten to remedy this? Or is it the monitor going out on me?

This time I have only gotten it to work once by twisting it, but the screen itself still barley see able. I want to say that the problem was caused by transporting the computer itself. I noticed that the scene went out last time when i was transporting it a lot.

I would really appreciate any help some one could offer.

    Thanks in advance,

    Chase
