The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Screwed myself, can't update Windows [Error 80070003]

    Normally this would go in the OS section, but I want to know if uninstalling any Toshiba stuff [Assist, Config, etc] would be part of the problem.

    Edit: It downloads the update but won't install it.

    So anyway, I deleted all the uninstall update files and now I get said error that says I need to remove all the temp files. So I follow the directions to remove manually. Did it as it said, went to the SoftwareDistribution file and deleted everything in the DataStore and Download files. Still a no go on installing updates even though it replaced everything with a shiny new copy. Same problem.

    Help.
