This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    CAn anyone there tell me (Toshiba won't ) which Satellite models have a BUILT in SERIAL port and
    2. have a screen size 14.1" or less.

    1) I don't think you can find any up to date laptops with a RS-232 (You want one of these, right ?). Because the manufacturers don't bother with them anymore (there is little use for them nowadays). I think you will have to buy a USB<->RS-232 for that.

    2) Toshiba Tecra laptops fall into this classification. Though I don't think you need to limit yourself to a Toshiba laptop.
