Hi, I have a Toshiba Tecra A1 and I want to set a password that restricts users from entering the BIOS

    Carby,
In most pc's. that option is in the Bios itself. Usually you cab reboot, hit F2-F2 repeatedly at the splash/boot screen until it boots in.

Yes, I've already entered BIOS and tried to, however it only offers one password which only asks for a password on boot, not when entering BIOS. Is there another way to restrict users from entering BIOS?

By the way the BIOS version is ACPI BIOS version 1.30. I believe it's the most up to date for this laptop.

There ought to be an administrative password setting in there somewhere...

That's what I said! But about a week of me and my boss fooling around with it and we've found nothing! The only thing is a password to be input at boot, but that would render it useless to the User

Thanks for your help guys, but we decided since it's time to start cloning, the BIOS key combination isn't too easy to guess (esc+F1), and we can't find anything that will restrict access, that we'd leave it as is without a password. Thanks for you help everyone!!
