I've got a new X505 laptop and it's set up so when I close the lid it sleeps... But, when I open the lid and activate the system it reboots and I get the screen with the "start normally" and it says the system did not shut down normally... Then it reboots and I have to log in again.

I figure this isn't specifically a Toshiba problem, but what do I have to do so it'll sleep and restart quickly and preserve all my windows instead of rebooting?

This is known problem, and this is Toshiba problem.

Install a 2.20 BIOS - it contains necessary fix.

Thanks for the reply... I"ll go rummage for the BIOS and give it a try.
