Hello, I have searched the forums and asked around for drivers, slipstreamed many XP disks form at least 4 different service pack 2's and one service pack 3
and I am having no luck at all. I was wondering if anyone has come out with some kind of tutorial yet on how to install xp on the X205 SLI series?

Also I was wondering if anyone had the same options I did when I slipstreamed the sata drivers onto the cd using nlite.

    I thank everyone in advance,
    Z

Oh, and just so you kno, my laptop is coming on the 28th. I'll be testing out Vista, if I don't like it, I might do an install of XP on it, if I have to resort to doing so, I'll help you out too if u get stuck. :p

dude, there are 30 threads on this. I explain it all, including using the KB888111 hotfix, in many threads.

The only way I was able to install XP on my sli1 was to slipstream the sata drivers on to a XP cd without any service packs at all and this was the only way it would let the installation complete.

If you slipstream the SATA drivers, the KB888111 hotfix, network and wi-fi drivers, and chipset driver, you'll save a lot of time after you get XP installed. Then install the latest Nvidia drivers (I'm using 169.09), etc.

If you are planning on installing SP3, make sure you do it AFTER installing KB888111. I tried slipstreaming it, but then KB888111 wouldn't run, and without it, you can't get your sound or modem to work.
