My brother has a Toshiba Satellite laptop that he got for college. It came with a disc containing a lot of software. There is this awesome voice for the text to speech engine. I tried putting it on my computer (Gateway) but it said it won't work on anything other than Satellites.

Is there a way to get software from that Toshiba disc onto my computer? It'd be awesome if I could get that voice to work on my computer.

Unfortunately, I do not think that there is a way to decode the programs for other computer's to use, besides Toshiba's. My dad has a new Qosmio and has some pretty cool software like a WinDVD burner, and was able to load it onto his old Satellite fine. However, when I tired to load it onto my HP, it gave me a message telling me that the software is only compatible with Toshiba Notebooks.
