Hi all,
1 - Seings that it looks like x200 does not support RAID, wondering what the best way to run a dual HDD system is...
I'm thinking... leave the OS disk (Cas empty as possible, and store everthing else on D:
Will this improve performance... thinking intuitively it should, but I'm sure some guru's gonna reply to this saying that they're both on the same controller / IRQ channel or something, and that it doesn't matter a rat's.
2 - Just wondering if any of the Toshiba crap has to stay... like the Bluetooth or TouchPad stuff maybe...
3 - I'm confused...
Is PC5300 RAM a bit slow for the GM965's 800MHz FSB?
Or is it the other way around? Does PC5300 run at 667x2MHz effective?
Newbie question sorry![]()

Hello and Welcome here.
And please refrain from making multiple threads on the same subject like this.
3 - The difference in speed between DDR2-800 and DDR2-667 is very little. (And DDRII does not work on Santa Rosa laptops - except some Zepto models - anyways) -
I guess it is subjective... what defines a different subject... pardon the punn...
One thread was re. memory, one about Toshiba bloatware, another about dual hdd management... all different subjects i thought... -
2- If you want your touchpad and your bluetooth to work, then obviously you do need it.
-
Can't i just get Vista to detect them... Don't want the Toshy software sitting there all the time really.
It's a question of whether this bloatware includes the drivers (necessary of course) or not...
