Hi everyone, thats my first post here,

Recently I bought a x505-q880 laptop, its really a good laptop, but i got some questions/problems about it:
1 - touchpad's mouse movement is not smooth, it flickers badly, i can still use it this way but its annoying. when i uninstalled synaptics driver, the problem solved but then i could not use scrolling-multi touch etc. i tried latest 14.0.12.0 drivers as well, also tried to change options. does anybody else have the same problem?
2 - i never used toshiba recovery (yet) my question is: does it only delete 64 gb ssd disk with OS and recovery , or delete all partitions (including 7200 rpm 500gb hdd)?
3 - in toshiba's driver page, it seems there are 2 bios versions: 1.10 and 2.20 . in bios screen, my bios version seems 2.30 :) how can this be?
4 - computer boots when i touch the media button on the right (under eco button). its annoying, i couldn't find any option in bios to turn this function off. is there a way?
5 - before windows starts, if i press power button, computer turns off then boots again. is there any way to make it only turn off?

especially 1st and 4th problems are really annoying, if you could help, i would be really appreciated, thanks.
    (sorry for bad english)

edit: extra question: whats the 4th port from the left (the closed one) in this [IMG]?

The touchpad may be defective? If you have reinstalled the driver and get different results. If it is under warranty and this bothers you. You may want to talk to Toshiba.

Also the extra question: I believe the 4th port form the left is the hdmi out port

Not sure about the rest of the questions

You are right. To the person who thought it was the HDMI port he was talking about, he is actually referring to the blocked port, the one with a piece of plastic over it. This may be because of a certain model having that feature and the rest of them not having it. Quite often, different iterations of the same model share the same chassis, therefore some things have to be altered to make it the right model.

To me, it looks like it could possibly be a Displayport. It seems to have that particular shape. The only reason I can think of that it would have that is because the X500 maybe has a Displayport, and the X505 doesn't, despite them sharing the same chassis, maybe.
