Managed to blow the sound card in my A105-4344 while programming a car. Was using the audio output to program a piece of equipment, but neglected to remove the active input from that same terminal on the piece of equipment.

Result was feedback into the headphone jack, speakers buzzed for a second, now no sound.

I'm assuming the sound card is a part of the mother board, but am hoping otherwise. Anyone know for sure?

    Thanks

    Brett

Yes, the sound card will be integrated into the motherboard. Your best options are therefore a PC/MCIA or ExpressCard slot sound card (as appropriate), or an external USB one.
