    Static Problem with Toshiba’s

I have heard and read that there is a Static Problem with Toshibas. I guess the casing is too tight and it is causing a ‘’short’’ which could affect your computer components i.e. hard drive, video card etc.
Has anyone experienced any of these? Especially the ones with Intel P4 processor .

I’m asking because I’m in the process of purchasing a Toshiba M50X-MX2,
    Intel Celeron M370-1.5GHz, 512MB memory,60GB(5400RPM) HD, DVD+/- Dual, 14WXGA. Wi-Fi,
In Canada they are selling for $999.00.

I decided against the Acer Aspire AS5002WLMi, because it looks to plasticy-cheap and the screen is too shiny. No Video out either. Maybe I’m brainwashed but I would rather go for the toshiba

    thanks

I have a Toshiba M40, and I haven't run into any "static" problems.
