This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Still "Webcam Driver open Fail"!!!!

    Hi guys i have also facing the same problem like" webcam driver open fail. Please restar camera or computer" message. As you guys talk earlier i have tried all possible as discussed in pervious forum but could not able to solve it. I have satellite pro A300 laptop with model "PSAG1A". Now i am using xp and i have tried it all the way by installing/unstalling camera asstant software, Hide MS program frm msconfig..etc but no use.. I tried to download the driver from toshiba's web site but it only contains the assistant software not the driver. And as well my laptop is not showing any web cam device at device manager so it can't be a driver problem. Previously it was working well. Any body figure out what's going on????

    Maby is the kabel of the webcam broken inside the laptop.
    I had that whit my acer and there is noting you can do about.
