What brand of ram do toshibas come with? Specifically a Tecra A7. I just bought one today and got a extra kingston 512mb thrown in to make it 1gig of ram. I want to know so I can check to see if the dude at the shop is scamming me or not as he said he already placed in the ram and it will be ready for me to pick up tomorrow.

    Thanks

The best way to check if you are being scammed or not is to run a utility like CPU-Z and it should list the brand, size and speed of memory installed in both the slots.

It you download CPU-Z like miner said and run it, it will tell you if the slots are occupied, what the manufacturer of the RAM that you have in, how much RAM you have and other specs also.

For the most part, Toshiba uses Kingston RAM, however, I have seen some notebooks that have had Crucial RAM as stock as well.
