I have a Toshiba Portege A200. Lately it has been very very weird. On the left side of the screen it has a few vertical lines that change in colour every so often and every now and then it goes ballistic and the screen almost flickers up and down etc, and goes basically spaz.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is this a virus?

I can't hand it in to my computer lab yet because we are doing projects at school and I need it!

    Help!!!!

    Merry :(

I'd disagree, could well be some faulty connections in the screen assembly. I do think you might need to see a specialist but it might be repairable.

If it only happens occasionally, its prob. in the connection, or software related.

My screen kinda does that too, except its only the lower 3rd of my screen, and only 1 refresh cycle(kinda hard to notice).

I'm hoping it'll fix itself when i reinstall XP later. The laptops 9 months old, and even if it was under warranty, i really wouldnt want to be without it for a few weeks, cause of something this minor.
