I'm trying to swap out the wireless card, and the cover is held in by an odd star-shaped screw.
It's not a Torx, unfortunately. It also has a raised dot in the middle which would cause a Torx to not be able to go in. I read how to disassemble on this site: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-M115/remove-top-cover-1.htm
However, it has no mention at all.
Is this a special screwdriver that I need to get or what?
Also, btw, I'm installing a Dell wireless card so I can get it to work on OSX. Can anyond confirm if the DW 1490 is the correct size? What standard is the wireless card? Mini PCI or...?
Thanks so much in advance for your help!!!!!!![]()

Yeah, it does look like one of those, thanks for the info. I just happened to find that I had a flathead that I could just get in there - snug perfect fit!
Thanks for your help! I think I'll get one of those sets for the future...
