    My Toshiba L15 S104 died :(
    When you turn it on;
The Hard Drive light blinks ONCE
The DVD spins like it's going to read
    The Cooling Fan comes on
The Power On light comes on
When hooked up to AC the AC light comes on

But that's it, no display, no back light, no hard drive activity light blinking, nothing.

    What I've done so far.
Tried to power it up with battery
Tried to power it up with AC, battery In and Out
Tried to power it up with the Restore Disk in.
Toggled the Fn/F5 buttons to check if the display was set to somethiong else
Hook up an external Monitor and toggled Fn/F5
Pulled the hard drive and hooked it to another laptop and it spins up and reads fine
Tried to power it up without the hard drive installed.

No matter what you do, the computer does the same thing as stated above.
If the mother board was fried, it wouldn't do as much as it is. Right?
What if the RAM is bad?
    Ideas????

    Thanks!

I don't think so as the screen is always black and blank. No DOS mode or anything.

However I will try it when I get home.
What key does Toshiba use to enter BIOS during boot?

Even when I hooked up the external monitor. I powered up the monitor and got blue screen showing the monitor was on. As soon as I powered up the laptop the monitor screen went black and blank.

In case the RAM is bad, I think you should check it out - it's pretty easy. Make sure it's seated properly and if that doesn't help, pull the sticks one at a time and see if your machine boots properly. Next, try switching slots. You can also give Memtest a shot.

Nope, can't get in to BIOS. Just a black screen.

It's a 256 RAM so it is on a single stick. I have checked to see that it's seated. Should I try moving it to the expansion slot? Of course if it is bad, that won't make any differance. Any other way to check it?
