    I'm the happy owner of a Toshiba Satellite 300 PSMD0C-FC508C Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 1.83GHz

I've downgrade it to XP (by the way, you can find all the drivers here http://support.toshiba.ca/support/download/listdrivers/drivers.asp)

But there are som things that are not quite working as they should

For instance, the Synaptics touchpad usually freezes (pointer stops moving and I can't even click). I've already installed several different drivers, but it didn't help.

In the other hand, the display doesn't seem to be calibrated. Webpages appear too white, and I've adjusted contrast and gamma and all of that, without succes.

Any help/ideas wold be very appreciated

    Thanks

I found this by googling for free monitor calibration. You could give it a shot. Not really sure on your touchpad problem. Mine is an Alps and has quit on me several times, but I always manage to get it working again if I play around enough. But I mainly use a mouse anyway. Good luck.
