    T9300 Compatibility in A505?

    hey guys i have the penryn T6500 in my satellite a505.
    is it possible to upgrade it the penryn T9300?
    im thinking about buying that processor.

    all input would be helpful!

    I believe it should work.

    Do you have the Mobile IntelĀ® GM45 Express Chipset?
    Because then you can use a better CPU than the T9300.

    The T9300 has an 800mhz FSB, while your chipset can support up to and including 1066mhz FSB.

    i do have the GM45 chipset.
    but i can get a t9300 for $150, which is a great price.
    and 2.5ghz and then the ability to over clock will be great.
    i think that processor will be fine, the gpu
    is going to be the bottleneck now.

    The highest I have seen the T9300 was 3.25ghz.
    But the T9500 has been overclocked to 3.9ghz.

    And they are basically the same chip so you could maybe also get to 3.9ghz.
