    2. How to flash it:

    A) Download the archive and extract it.

    B) Run InsydeH20 FLASH

    C) Wait until the notebook is powered off

    D) Restart/boot and press F2

    E) ENJOY the new BIOS :D

    3. What to do if the flash goes wrong?

InsydeH20 BIOS/EFI have the possibility to restore the original BIOS :D. Here is a quick guide how to do it ;) :

    A) You will have to look for a original/modded BIOS file to flash. Lets take the modded one ;) . If you want to use the original one, please download a BIOS update for your notebook from TOSHIBA and open the .exe file with 7zip. Take the .fd file out of the folder.

    B) Now we have to obtain the recovery filename for the BIOS. We do it with AndyP´s PhoenixSLICTool 1.85. Point the programm the BIOS .fd file and let it work. There will come 2 messages. The first one cointains the BIOS information. The second one the recovery filename. In our case its BIOS.fd.

    C) Format a USB Flash Drive with FAT. NOT FAT32  !

    D) Copy the extracted BIOS ( from the .exe) or the modded BIOS  on the flash drive.

    E) Rename the BIOS .fd file to the recovery filename. In our case the file has to be renamed to BIOS.fd.

    F) Insert the USB Flash Drive into a USB port and start the laptop.

    G) Start the laptop and press Fn + F to start the recovery mode

    H) After 10 Minutes power the laptop off and take out the battery + AC supply.

    I) Press the Power Button

    J) Insert the Battery and AC supply again.

    K) Start the laptop :D

    Wow looks Cool!

I might try it, my Toshiba is a L650-1PQ

    PSK1JE.

    Will it definately work?

    I have an i5-480M 4gb ddr3 and 5650.

Still trying to figure out how to get mine to volt to 1.0 and allow me to overclock :(

Yep--> WILL WORK ON YOUR LAPTOP<--
I got it from the MDL forum and compared it with my python mod.
It had exactly the same checksum. The guy who aked for it had a satellite l650-116 PSK1JE. I have a satellite l650-1mt PSK1JE and it works.

Installed it, all options unlocked for me :)

I have played with the temperature sensors so they come on at a lower temp but they don't seem to work?

Also, will this allow me to unlock 1.0 volt if i edit the modified BIOS (which you supplied link to) with RBE?

    Regards

    My Configuration:
Fan start min 45; Fan max 75 Celsius :) it works ( fan runs continiously)
i have tried 65 min and 75 max and it worked to. Check temps with Coretemp and GPU-Z. Usually fan starts because CPU is to hot but the GPU temps are also mesured.

P.S. Nice to see that it worked :) !

    To GPU vCore modding:

Unfortunately GPU voltage didnt changes anymore on my laptop. No undervolting or overvolting is possible for me :( .
I will open my laptop tomorrow and make some pics. In germany its allowed as long as you do not damage the board because everyone is allowed to change hardware components ( RAM, CPU ( if not forbidden by company), HDD, SDD etc.). Hopefully we´ll find a few clues to unlock 1.0 Volts the hard way ( i will test it).

I've got mine min 40: max 55 and throttle 75.

I think it's working constantly, temps don't seem to be any lower than before though, well maybe a little bit actually, my cpu is about 53 degrees - 60

In gaming it always rises to 90 degrees, which is ok but i don't like gaming for long with it.

I might open my laptop and give her a clean out, ad new arctic silver paste to my GPU and CPU.

Any other good options to choose in the BIOS for performance?

    Thanks, awesome mod :)

P.S anyone else with a L650 should DEFINATELY do this, it's awesome.

I noticed too that the fan is running constantly ( even in eco mode) but he temps are only 5 C lower. My laptop shuts down @ 90C but the heat comes mostly from the HD5650M not from the CPU. I game ca @ 70-80C.

After doing some work ( performance mode):
    CPU is ca. @ 50C ( 47-53)
    GPU is ca. @ 60C (55-62)
    ----------------------------------------
GPU is warming up the CPU and; the GPU is much hotter than expected.
I will look @ the cooling system tommorow when i open it.

I opened mine earlier and had a look, the GPU and CPU are on seperate heat pipes about 4 inches long leading directly to the fan, not much in the way of making it cooler, other than a cooling pad.

I can't find my arctic silver so i'll buy some more and apply it.

    Hi,

I just got a brand new toshiba satellite s75DT A7330. Upon usage i found that the turbo core feature on it is not working (CPU is stuck at 2.45GHz when it can go upto 3,5GHz on turbo core). I tried driver updating and so on but still no solution. The BIOS on this thing is so primitive and has no option to control turbo core features while others with AMD processors do. Do you think you'll be able to help me out? Im from Sri Lanka and i got this laptop from my savings and its just such a disappointment :( My specs are as follows:

    AMD A10-5750m
    Radeon 8650G
    12GB ram

    BIOS Version/Date: Insyde Corp. 1.20, 7/1/2013
    System SKU: PSKNSU

    Thank you!! :)
