I have a Tecra 8000 and the problem is that when you try to turn on with just the battery it won't start? When plugged in with power cord it starts right up. You can unplug the power cord and it will run on the battery but in the power management it shows there is no battery installed? I'm running XP professional OS. Yesterday I removed the battery and put it back in and it started with out power cord but after shutdown it would not start again without the power cord plugged in?

Any suggestions as to what the problem may be? Your help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
