Just wanted to pass on my experience with the Tecra A4. On paper, it looked great. However, I was very disapointed with the build quality. The Tecra line, from what I had read, was supposed to be very solid. The Tecra A4 does not seem to be built any differently (other than color and some features) than the M45. There was a lot of flex in the lid, keyboard, and even the frame. In addition, not all the various plastic covers on the bottom fit flush, the touchpad felt "bumpy", and plugging in headphones required a great deal of force. I also seemed to have some intermittent AV sync issues with playing video, even with clean installs. Now, I may have gotten a lemon, but I still think the laptop had a cheap feel to it. On the plus side it was very fast (with a clean XP install) and the screen was beautiful. I also decided that the 15.4 WS form factor was just too big, but this obviously is just personal preference.
I sent it back for a full refund and just purchased an Asus W3V from Proportable. I'm very excited.

Agree mostly. The quality is not bad at all, but it does not seem anything special compared to the "consumer" line (what you expect, and what they sell). Usually you have, on top of the budget line, the "general consumer", the "consumer pro", and several degrees in the "business" (here in UK they were the Satellite, the Satellite Pro, and the Tecra, in that order). There seems to be not much difference between the Satellite Pro and the Tecra A4 (but, let's be fair, there is not difference in price either).
So look at the price and specs you will do a better forecast!!! (it seems you cannot trust these companies anymore [if ever [
