I know that this is an old laptop, but I'm hoping that somebody could help me out here.

The laptop keeps on freezing randomly. Then when I try to restart, it won't boot up. If anyone owns or used to own one, it gives the orange color around the power button then it goes away for a second or two and then it becomes green again and then shuts off.

I know it's not a cooling issue because I've let it cool off for a few days at a time. I've also tried removing the battery to see if it was causing the problem. Also tried removing the batter and using the AC adapter only and it still did not work. I was told that it might be a cracked motherboard problem.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it and how I might be able to fix it?

    Thanks in advance
