I am just wondering if anyone know where I can download "Recovery Disc Creator" ?

I need it because I would like to reinstall WinXP and the install files are buried somewhere in a hidden partition in the HD.
I've treid Toshiba support site but no luck. Reason I needed it is that I accidentally uninstalled that program when I first received my laptop and started getting rid of programs that I don't need (in an attempt to speed up the laptop). In hindsight, I should not have removed this "recovery disc creator".

Thank you so much for your help.

Did you have system restore on when you deleted it? If you did you can go the control panel, make sure it is on category view and click performance and maintenence and then click system restore if you know when you did it.

Unfortunately, I did not have system restore turned on, so that's not a feasible alternative.

    Hmm...

Did your notebook come with recovery discs? If it did, use them to restore the drivers. If not, the recovery information should either already be on your HD (from there you'd burn discs to preserve the information). Toshiba's Tech support should help you in creating the discs.

Hi - I know that you posted your post in 2004.... it is now 2007 - and want to know where you managed to get something like "recovery disc creator" program - from...
I have a Tecra A8 - loaded with VISTA - and of course it is useless to anyone - so I have put XP SP2 back onto the machine - have downloaded quite a lot of drivers from all over the place - and now am looking for "that" program... as I would like to make up a recovery disc.. hmmm
Need some help please - if you ever read this again...
    Kindest regards
