    To be honest, I really didn't like the A7. Lower scores on 3dmark than it's competitors and heavier than say the LG S1. Another issue is that it had 2 slots on the left hand side, one for pci express card and the other I'm not sure for what. Now, usually it would be filled with a little card. With Toshiba it has a VCR style shutter which you would think it is more convinient, whenever playing games or some heavy typing it would make squeeky sounds under the palmrest. You could fill it with something but I chose not to and got rid of the laptop all together.

    Perhaps you should consider the FAQ and post there.

    I just ordered a fully loaded one, after returning a P100 over concerns about Linux compatibility, so I'll chime in once I get it in about 10 days, but I'm hoping the build quality and screen are good. FWIW, the specs indicate that the LG S1 (tough to get in the US), and the A7 are pretty similar in terms of weight and dimensions;

    LG S1 ( http://www.milestonepc.com/states/product_info.php?cPath=209&products_id=1326)
    Dimensions : 358.8mm x 264.4mm x 31.7mm
    Weight : 2.82 Kg (with a standard 6cell battery)

    A7 ( http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/product/pdf_files/detailed_specs/tecra_A7-ST5112.pdf)
    Dimensions: 360.0mm x 267.0mm x 29.8mm[F]/36.8mm[R] w/o feet
    Weight: Starting at 2.72 kg depending upon configuration

    My father bought tecra A7 last week and I saw it yesterday. Campared with my acer, toshiba is so prety and the quality is so good. I couldn't run 3d mark 05 because I didn't got this, the same as super pi. It has a x1400 wiht 256 mb and hipermemory.
