    Hey guys -

One of our clients comes in with a Toshiba Tecra A7 that was running slow and all loaded it. I told him I would format it and get it back to him so its a fresh slate for his guys in the field.

So I format the machine and go to the Toshiba Support to download drivers. Look on Tecra A7 and of course no drivers are listed for Windows XP only Vista. (Wierd since the machine came loaded with XP).

So I look and download the drivers for Tecra A7-S612 or whatever the next one listed was. All drivers loaded fine except for 2 Unknown devices. I flashed the BIOS and 1 of the unknown went away but still 1 remained. I installed every driver listed for any Tecra A7 and still no bueno.

So I called Toshiba and they want to charge me 40 bucks for a restore disk, I flip on them cause they should have all drivers online, doesn't get me no where. So I tell the lady to send me a restore disk, after 10 minutes on hold she comes back saying its not in the inventory and I have to wait 5 days to here something.

So right now I am dead in the water and looking like an idiot to my client.

So does anyone here have the system restore disk they could let me download or FTP? I have the key just need the disk.

Or does anyone have a zip of all the drivers for this model.

    Please help guys!

    Thanks,
    Dan

I have a Tecra A7 and had a similar problem when I upgraded to Vista. I could send you a copy of the Expanded Divice manager to check the devices. I was missing the Toutch pad device driver
