I was just looking at the new A7 movie on Toshiba's site and found that it offers 4GB DDR2 of RAM. Is this possible? Is this true or was it a mess up on Toshiba's part?

Yes - I've seen the same thing on Toshiba's US Site. I'm not too sure if this is true, however. I reviewed the specs on the A7 and found that it only has 2 RAM slots, so unless there's some mythical 2GB stick of RAM, this isn't possible.

Yes its true, the newer Intel chipset do support 4GB of RAM. But you"ll have to use 2X2GB sticks which is very very hard to find and for 99% of the notebook buyers out there having 4GB is waste of money.

Not to mention, you're going to pay a premium for 4GB of memory, not worth it in my opinion right now, maybe in 2-3 years, but definately overkill today. What would the price be like $250 a stick?

Honestly, it isn't worth getting the 4GBs of RAM. I'd guess the sticks cost more like 300-450 if they're so rare. Nice to know that a mainstream notebook does have the ability to run 4GBs of RAM though.
