I've just read Cnet's review.
Do you also find the keyboard sagging and uncomfortable?
Do the Tecra S1 and M2 use the same keyboard?
I must admit- for a potential Tecra owner this is a sort of a turn-off.
(I also posted this message in the general hardware forum - hope it's O.K)

I am a tecra owner and I have to say the keyboard is fantastic. It does not sag and has excellent key press. It feels great to type on and actually I can type much faster and easier on my tecra m2 than I can on my desktop. I bought a viao v505 before the tecra and returned it, and I can say that that laptop did have a soft saggy keyboard with keys that were not well defined. The tecra has well shaped and defined keys that are not hard to press(not clicky and noisey) and the keyboard as plenty of support.
I am completely satsified with my tecra m2 (maybe the speakers could be better). -
I have to agree with cknobman. There is nothing wrong with the keyboard at all. But the speakers are crap! If the speakers are not important then I can recommend an M2.

prince,
Keyboard is Fine ... I like clicky, but once I got used to the M2 it was great! and is fast to type on.
No complaints here.
ditto on the speakers, sad ... but, for me I don't use them really.
when I do (DVD) it's with Headphones (which the sound is good)
