Are Toshiba Tecras generally compatible with Ubuntu? I'm interested in the Tecra Z60, but only if Ubuntu will work on it.

Hi do you mean Z50? I think that Ubuntu will work on the Z series Tecra and most laptops without touchscreen.
I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Toshiba P745 recently and it worked flawlessly. However, since last night Ubuntu is refusing to boot.
I know with newer laptops many users report dimming issues etc. but all in all I see no reason why Ubuntu would not work on the Tecra Z series.
