I am going to South Africa for 3 weeks, and I would like to take my p30 with me. I have heard the term parking your hard drive, and was wondering what that means. Also if any one has any ideas on charging problems, ie europe or even on the plane , do not know, first trip with computer. Or just any helpful info would be very much appreciated. It is a 26 hour flight, ugh, thanx. Also will I be able to log on to the net, I mean will I have any difficulties, is it expensive, any special info I might need.

Your notebook's power adaptor should 99.999% be able to work with other voltages such as 220 found in Europe and South Africa for instance. You may need to get a different plug as the outlets themselves outside the U.S can be quite different, but the power brick itself is fine to use.
I think parking your hard drive means having it sit still to protect it in case you drop your notebook to the ground for instance. -
