I'm trying to update the bios for my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300D-01Q - PSLC0C-01Q08C, has anyone found them? For this particular laptop?

Well, it's strange, my receipt, and underneath the notebook actually says Pro. But their drivers have it classified as just the Satellite.... but yeah, it's the only one without a bios update it seems.

Yeah, the Toshiba Canada website is so old, let me check the US site for you.

They don't have the same model codes, but I think that if you find the one for your specific chipset it should be fine, right?

    No'p.

I tried the similar chipset (L300D- random###) on the U.S & U.K websites but none of them work. Vista tells me that the files cannot be identified for the update to work.

I wouldn't do that. If you can't verify that the specific model number is applicable for a BIOS update, then you shouldn't update as it would risk bricking the laptop. (Though most updates have detection mechanisms nowadays, it's still the wisest course.)

I was reading your thread about the RAM issue ARom. I think you should give Toshiba support a call and ask them about the issue, as well as if there is a BIOS update available. I know calling tech support is never fun, but it may be an issue they are aware of but haven't yet provided self-fixing options.
