    Hi there,

    I have a toshiba 3440CT, i dont know what is wrong with it at all and im completly confused! When i switch it on it comes up with the toshiba display and then goes to a black screen and says "Insert system disk in drive. press any key when ready....." does anybody know what i can do to make it work again and run on windows 98 or XP hopefully?

    It sounds like the hard drive has crashed. Try going into your BIOS to see what devices it shows as bootable, then set the CD drive as the boot drive and try to boot from a Windows CD-ROM to see if it will detect your hard drive.
