    Hi,
    This is my first post.
I did try to find the information within, disembling toshiba laptops, but couldn't find my model.

Anyway, i have bought an old toshiba 4080xcdt, to take on holiday with me so that if it gets broken or stolen, it would not be the end of the world.

I bought it off ebay and noticed a sound of a screw loose inside. I have taken the unit apart, but when it came to reasembly, I noticed the ribbon cable coming from the mouse controls. (not a touch pad). The problem is I cannot figure out where the end of the ribbon goes, into the computer.
Can someone give me a hint. I did not take everything apart, just the bottom cover, the keyboard and raised the top cover.

    Can you help me
    Thanks

    Mark
