Hi all, I am a newbie here and looking for information on the usability of the Touchpad on the A100 laptops.

On my Acer 5102, I can configure the corners of the TouchPad to be "Tap" zones and set these to work as (for example) Scroll Bars. I can scroll the active window by tapping the top right corner and dragging my finger down or up. Similarly, I can tap the bottom right corner and scroll left and right.

Can the touchPad on a Toshiba A100 series be configured to do this?

    :) :)

Thanks Zlic3r. I agree that the Touchpad is not ergonomically perfect but the configurable corners make it usable for me. I think I am going to treat muself to a Toshiba A100-147 from Currys now that Microsoft are going to upgrade the XP MCE to Vista for free in early 2007.

    Cheers.
