I just bought one, and ran some benchmarks.

    SuperPi 2m places done in 1m19s and a 3dmark of 3392. I got an avg of 3755 when I oc'd to 501/390.

Haven't tested the battry life yet.

Battery life... I'd guess 45 minutes, tops. My son has a similar unit. It's hard to even call it a portable computer.

Ran PCMark05, all tests, 3970 something...

Fast, but I am definately interested to see what the battery life would be once the battery is broken in, and how much of an improvemnt the 9 cell would be.

My initial impressions, I agree with schleeb it doesn't look good, mrman have you god some input? How long does it last browsing, or watching a DVD?

I just purchased this laptop as well, haven't had much time to play with it but it seems well built, I like the dedicated memory card. I think the battery should get at least 2 hours but I will check it out. Where do you get the benchmark program to test your system?

be honest guys, the build quality of toshiba a-100 is okey but nothing to be praised. it is just a medium level chassis design, albeit the fast cpu and gpu

    thomasyyy2003 I said..

"Ran PCMark05, all tests, 3970 something..."

PCMARK05 not 3dmark... Different benchmark, tests cpu, memory and disk.

As for the 3dmark mid 3700's with a 10% overclock on gpu and memory.

I don't have the notebook in front of me but I will post screenshots tonight.

I also switched to tweaked forceware drivers (again will check tonite) and that helped performance a bit.
