This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Toshiba A134-S4407, microphone does not work.

    I'm running windows vista and for whatever reason, the microphone does not work. I go to sound options and it shows a microphone there and has a check mark with a green circle and it says "working". No programs recognize it though. If I plug an external microphone in, it does work.

    I have the latest drivers installed and I can't figure out why the internal microphone won't work.

    Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
