I just purchased the Laptop(Satellite A205-S5804).The first thing i did was to find away to get rid of thr bloatware.I uninstalled them as well as use Ccrap Cleaner,Revo,DiskSweeper. The system came with a Recovery Disk.I would be satisfied having just the OS on it(I have Vista Home Premium). But I can not find the drivers in order to back them up on a seperate disk without the bloatware accompaning it.I cant even find the Drivers on the computer to even try to back them up that way.
Is there anybody out there that can assist me PLEASE!?
    Thanks!

My X205 came with the drivers on the restore CD. You can access them WITHOUT actually running the restore program.

mine came with 2 discs, and when you put the first one it, it asks you if you want ot install programs/drivers, then simply gives them to you in a list.

You can always download them individually from Toshiba.

I'm running XP, so I had to track them down the hard way.

thanks for answering y2hardtop.I have xp pro from one of a broken down laptop. Is it possible to install xp in place of Vista on a new Laptop? If so , is there a step by step tutorial on how to do this, or does it work like the older laptop just install the OS disk then install the system drivers?

there are some walk-throughs here on the forum, maybe or maybe not for your specific model. In my case, you have to slipstream the SATA drivers into an XP disc (SATA came out after XP, so XP needs special drivers for it), then install a hotfix to recognize the HD Audio Bus (KB888111). The hotfix lets XP recognize the sound card and modem, again as the HD Audio Bus came out after XP was originally released. From then, it's just installing drivers for specific devices (many from Toshiba, many from other places).

My machine feels about 100% faster in XP than it did in Vista, even with all of the Aero and other eye candy turned off. Also, games (Bioshock etc) would barely run in Vista, even with graphics turned down.
