    Good morning,
I have to replace the hard drive on my A300-193 laptop
    The original is a 120Gb MK1246GSX HDD2D91
I live in France and am having difficulty sourcing a replacement other than in the States from where postage is expensive.
Is there any reason why I could not replace the drive with for example a Toshiba MK2576GSX with 250Gb capacity, which seems to have the same spin speed etc? which I can source in UK
Alternatively, can anyone tell me where I can source an MK1246GSX in France?
I have a Toshiba recovery disc for XP pro which came with the laptop, when I have replaced the hard drive, will I have to do anything other than boot it from the optical drive?
    Many thanks HTF
