Sorry - I should have quoted the original posters on my last 2 responses - I don't recall who posted the question about the battery or about the WiFi issue.

Also - one other note - my battery life may be hobbled by a possible fan problem, so battery life on the 6 cell might be better than what I am experiencing.

    It's made in China.....
This is why I like Fujitsu, made in Japan.

I bought a tecra...the 3 of the 4 feet touched a flat surface....slight lift on one of the feet...it wouldnt sit flat...that unit was sent back faster than it got here...

Then there was that "over a yr to resolve issue" with the A215's shutting down for no apparent reason....

I wish I had the same faith I had in toshiba a few yrs ago.....
but they seem to have slipped.
    this is just my opinion....
And yes, I do believe built in Japan is better than built in China.

You need to slipstream or add the sata drivers, via a usb flash drive or cd rom.

    Hi Guys,
I read all of the post in this thread because I'm about to buy the A305. Both CC and BB carry the A305 but different models. I haven't decided which one I'll buy just yet.
Anyway i wanted to address some of the question I saw here. If you want to dual boot XP and Vista you need to do a few things. First you need to check for XP drivers. If you can find the drivers you need then you should make sure your machine is set to boot from the cd/dvd first (check the BIOS). The insert the XP cd and reboot the system. Create a partition and install XP. When that install is finished the repeat with the Vista disk, this time making another partition. YOU MUST INSTALL XP FIRST AND VISTA SECOND.
As far as having a 64 bit processor goes that's no problem. Most newer processors are 64 bit. That just means that it can handle a 64 bit operating system. You can run a 32 bit OS with a 64 bit processor. No problem. If you have a 64 bit OS you may have problems with some software  . Vista is capable of simulating older OS so if you have a problem with software try that.
I am in the computer networking field and I teach at a technical school. :) I hope this helps.

If you don't already have a copy of XP, then you need to buy one. Hopefully your machine came with a Vista disk. If not then you can borrow a Vista disk and use the product key that's on the sticker of your machine.
